It is with great pride that we can announce that Dansk Transport Emballage has been nominated for the South Jutland Business Award 2025 in the Green Transition category. The award, which is presented in collaboration between Erhvervshus Sydjylland and JydskeVestkysten, celebrates South Jutland companies that pave the way for the future of business - and this year we are among the companies that are highlighted.

The South Jutland Business Award focuses on three key areas that will be crucial for the future of business: digitalization, export and green transition. The nomination in the green category recognizes our work to integrate sustainability throughout our business - from strategy and production to partnerships and innovation. We are proud to be in the company of four other talented nominees who - like us - have had sustainability as a key focus area. This gives the nomination extra weight and emphasizes the importance of the green transition throughout our region.

Sustainability is not just a vision - it's part of our everyday lives

At Dansk Transport Emballage, we work hard every day to create a more sustainable future. We work daily to reduce our carbon footprint. As a company, we work actively with several of the UN Sustainable Development Goals - especially goals 7, 9, 12 and 15. Specifically, we have optimized our energy consumption with LED lighting, CTS systems and solar shading, and we systematically sort waste, recycle electronics and minimize the carbon footprint of transport. Our office is almost paperless and we recycle cardboard, plastic and waste sacks in our logistics. Outside, we create more biodiversity with areas for wild nature - because we believe that responsibility starts locally.

One step at a time - together with our customers

We believe that responsibility, good service and smart choices can go hand in hand. Through circular business models, where we resell used products and send end-of-life materials to granulation for 100% recycling, we are creating a more sustainable packaging industry. It's not just about reducing our carbon footprint, but also about developing smarter, more efficient solutions that make a real difference - for our customers, our employees and the communities we are part of. That's why it's a special honor to be recognized in this category.

As an extra pleasant surprise, the nomination was not something we had applied for ourselves - and that's why it means so much to us. It's a powerful reminder that our work makes a difference and can be felt when you come into contact with us. This nomination is a testament to the effort our employees, partners and customers put in every single day. They are the ones who make it possible for us to think big, act responsibly and create value - not just on the bottom line, but also for the world we are part of.

The purpose of the award is to highlight the good examples - the companies that lead the way and show that responsibility and growth can easily go hand in hand.
