Dansk Transport Emballage's (hereinafter DTE) social responsibility (CSR)

It is important that our company demonstrates corporate social responsibility and creates value for both companies and society by addressing social and ethical challenges in dialogue with our suppliers and customers in accordance with internationally recognized principles of social responsibility.

Organization

Dialogue with the outside world:

DTE strives to create a framework that makes it easy for DTE and our partners to engage in dialog.

• This is done, among other things, by knowing DTE's business partners/partners and their relationship with DTE. Customers, suppliers, employees, authorities are among the most important partners/stakeholders.
• DTE is aware of which partners and expectations we want to focus on in particular in our CSR work.
• DTE actively decides what, how, when and to whom to communicate.

Risk management:

• DTE strives to systematically identify any risks.
• DTE continuously ensures that there is development and follow-up on the goals we set ourselves.
• DTE ensures that the conditions for achieving our goals are in place.
• DTE will continuously prevent identified vulnerabilities.

Decision-making processes:

It is important for DTE to have decision-making processes and structures that support the work of taking economic, social and environmental considerations into account. This is done, among other things, by:

• Create strategy, policies and goals that reflect the work with CSR.
• Create and nurture a culture where CSR is understood and practiced.
• Encourage employees to get involved in CSR work.

Supplier policy

The company's expectations of its suppliers:

DTE's suppliers play an important role in ensuring the continuous high quality of the company's products. DTE cannot achieve its goals without the support and cooperation of its suppliers. Therefore, the aim is to develop cooperation with those suppliers who share the same ethical views as DTE. The company has drawn up the following guidelines for its code of ethics in order to develop and strengthen cooperation with suppliers. These guidelines form the basis for the ongoing collaboration between DTE and its suppliers.

Audits:

• DTE conducts scheduled audits of its suppliers to evaluate the quality of the goods received. During the audits, DTE also looks at the ethical code of conduct of the suppliers in question. All suppliers must accept and be prepared to be audited by DTE. Our collaboration with suppliers involves an ongoing dialog about continuous improvements in the way we work.

DTE's code of ethics

Legislation:

• DTE complies with applicable legislation in the countries it works with.

Human rights:

• DTE respects the UN's human rights declarations and takes responsibility for compliance with these rights.
• DTE is committed to conducting its work with integrity and at a high ethical level.
• DTE wants to treat all people equally, regardless of their status or background.

Employee rights:

• DTE complies with Danish legislation and EU conventions.
• DTE does not employ forced labor and the company does not allow behavior that restricts staff freedom of action.
• DTE does not employ people under the age of 15 and the EU regulation for young workers in the EU is complied with.
• DTE ensures equal conditions for all employees without regard to ethnic origin, skin color, gender, nationality, religion or other characteristics.
• DTE does not allow any form of discrimination or harassment.
• DTE works continuously to improve the working environment at its locations.
• DTE recognizes the right of staff to organize.
• DTE recognizes freedom of opinion and expression.
• DTE recognizes the privacy of both employees and suppliers.
• DTE expects honesty and integrity from its employees and that all employees adhere to the principles set out in this memorandum.

Economic, social and cultural rights:

• DTE actively promotes economic, social and cultural rights, including education and training of employees.
• DTE wants to ensure freedom of association and work under fair conditions.
• DTE wants to ensure employees have access to healthcare.
• DTE wants to ensure equal pay for equal work.

Environment:

• DTE is committed to comply with applicable environmental rules and regulations that are in accordance with Danish legislation.
• DTE continuously improves its environment so that it is always in accordance with the guidelines set out by the applicable authority.
• DTE strives to promote environmental considerations throughout its supply chain, including the further development of environmentally friendly methods.
• DTE sorts all waste, including clear foil, colored foils, cardboard, metal and electronics etc.

Circular economy:

• DTE buys used plastic packaging. The products that can be sold used are resold to ensure that a product is used for as long as possible.
• DTE purchases end-of-life plastic packaging and granulates it to ensure that it is reused in new products. Recycled plastic raw material is CO2 neutral and part of DTE's efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.

Anti-corruption:

• DTE is opposed to corruption and supports the UN Charter on Corruption.
• DTE personnel must not accept any form of bribery or act under the influence of others.
• DTE does not accept any form of bribe money.
• Gifts, meals or social activities related to meetings must not influence company decisions or be perceived as having influenced decisions. In general, DTE personnel are not permitted to accept or offer gifts in any form that could be perceived as a reward or favoritism. Personnel must act within a reasonable threshold defined as acceptable and normal practice.
• DTE's personnel are obliged to avoid any situation that could lead to a conflict between their own interests and the interests of DTE.
